The fact that mouthwash flows between the teeth does not mean it works in the same way as floss or an interdental brush.
Mechanical plaque removal
When floss is guided correctly along the tooth surface, it cleans mechanically. Mouthwash does not reproduce this movement simply because it reaches the spaces.
Different tools, different roles
A toothbrush, an interdental cleaning tool and mouthwash can perform different functions. Build the routine in layers instead of replacing the most important steps with the easiest one.
What about tight spaces or braces?
If conventional floss is difficult to use, choose another option with a dentist or dental hygienist rather than abandoning interdental cleaning completely.
